If you are in trouble and need financial assistance, we may be able to help...

Where do you live?
We serve the following zipcodes: 98103, 98105, 98107, 98115, 98125, 98133 (Seattle only, not Shoreline) and the homeless.

What kind of assistance do you need?
Rent Assistance: We provide rent and move-in assistance based on individual needs. Funds are paid directly to the landlord.
 
Move-In Assistance: We provide move-in assistance for people who are homeless and transitioning to housing.
 
Utility Assistance: We provide assistance for water, gas, electricity and telephone relief. To be helped, you must bring your current bill to the office. Funds are paid directly to the service provider.
 
Emergency Assistance: We provide emergency assistance for one or more of the following needs: bus tickets, gas vouchers, and prescriptions.
We also provide emergency food and some toiletries.
 
We do not provide assistance with IDs, laundry, motel vouchers, car repair or Greyhound tickets. We do not provide cash or checks directly to clients.

What should you bring?
Please bring
  • your lease/bill
  • some form of identification
  • any documentation of your situation.

 

We will need these to verify your situation.


When are we open and how does it work?
We are open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Assistance is given on a first come, first served bases - it is best to arrive by 10AM.
 
When you arrive at UCEF, you sign-up to meet with a UCEF volunteer one on one who assesses your situation and determines how UCEF can best help you. All conversations are strictly confidential.
